Bournemouth Boys Bag Bronze For Dorset
*10/11/08 The Wiltshire 10k - Three first claim members of Bournemouth and one second claim runner made up a depleted Dorset squad in the South West Inter Counties Road Championships.

A number of last minute drop outs and unfortunate late injuries left the squad two short on the day meaning that all four runners needed to score well on the inaugural Wiltshire 10k course.

Two testing climbs and a strong breeze meant times were down on normal, but the Dorset squad packed well with all four runners between 9th and 16th place.

A strong Devon outfit took a convincing Gold and in a three way battle to decide the other medal positions, Dorset edged out Gloucestershire for Bronze while Cornwall took Silver.

In the open race, Bournemouth AC finished second team behind the Silver medallist’s county club, Cornwall AC.
