*26/10/09 British summer time ends a day early in Weymouth - Dorset League Champions Bournemouth AC secured a team win at Weymouth on Saturday while Ian Habgood strengthened his position at the top of the individual standings.

Second last year behind Bournemouth AC legend Mark Hargreaves, Habgood went one better this year prevailing over Ian Cardy in the two mile stretch for home. Robin Copestick, course record holder and winner in 2005 and 2006, was fourth while Ian White in sixth secured open honours for BAC.

Tony Chutter and Graeme Miller were also in the top ten and Ian Graham secured the Dorset League win as fifth scorer. Janie Chapman was second overall in the ladies, but top Dorset League finisher.

The club’s other runner on the day, Mike Cowham, ran a new PB showing there is plenty more to come given the windy conditions.
