Charlotte Penfold Sets New Half Marathon Best

*27/3/09 Doing things by halves - Former Commonwealth games 800m finalist Charlotte Penfold set a new Half Marathon PB at Silvertsone earlier this month.

Turning her attentions to road running in 2008, the new best builds on her Half Marathon debut at Swanage and placed her eighth in the South West and top Dorset performer for 2009.

The 800m all-time Under 20 record holder was second in the race behind Charnwood's Juliet Doyle.

Her time of 82:41 puts her joint top of the club championship standings for the distance, but with Reading and Bournemouth Bay on the horizon the mark is likely to be increased further by Easter.
