Reading Hants League Results
*12/1/08 Dogged squad left with fighting chance - Despite spending the weekend concentrating on the Dorset Road League, the BAC squad managed to field a full and competitive team for both races.

It was never going to be the best performance of the year, but the squad's seven runners at Reading all dug in to ensure a fighting chance of survival come the final cross country fixture.

The result was enough to create a gap over Poole Runners and a positive result against Overton at next month's home fixture could be enough for the Division Two champions to avoid relegation.

For a squad our size to field competitive five-man teams in two consecutive days is a fantastic achievement and full credit to all runners who turned out. Same again next month lads!

At Reading in-form Laurent Kelly led the way with Mike Hammacott not far behind, committed to the cause away from his natural track environment.

Phil Allen took a timely return to action with Ian Graham and Mike Farrell completing the scoring. Peter O'Rielly kept up his run of Hampshire League fixtures while thrower Pete Briant completed his first run for the club.
