Trio Of Victories For BAC Athletes
Lordshill 10k - Mark Hargreaves won yet another Masters title, this time at the undulating Lordshill 10k in Southampton. The course is testing at the best of times, but heavy rain left many sections completely submerged and difficult to negotiate.

Despite the conditions however, Hargreaves crept under the thirty-three minute barrier and finished 2nd overall. Mark described the run as possibly his best 10k of the year. The forty-six year old is confident of breaking the thirty-two minute barrier for the first time in over three years based on this run.

Summer Solstice 8k - Jon Sharkey celebrated his return from injury by winning the Summer Solstice 8k at Moors Valley. Taking advantage of the soft ground to test the injury, Sharkey started cautiously before knocking out a powerful final 4k to pull himself clear of the chasing pack. [Results] Sharkey then went on to clock 16:26 at the Southern Men's match as BAC's Track & Field team close in on promotion back to Division One.

Wessex Ridgeway Relays - Competing for his local club Dorset Doddlers, Mike Hoey was on the winning team as the Doddlers beat nineteen other competing teams in this 100k relay challenge. Mike's contribution helped the team post a record time in 8:13:10. Hoey also finished 4th in the Warminster 10 mile race. He completed the undulating and part trial course in 61:53.
