Puddletown 20k
*10/6/08 - The club’s presence at the business end of local races was evident in the Puddletown Plod 20km at the weekend, with Tony Chutter claiming a podium finish in third (1:17.24), with Andy Jennings closely following in fourth (1:17.36).

Dave Caddy from Egdon Heath was the race winner, reclaiming his 2006 title. BAC cross country runner Mark Pittaway was second. Running first claim for Royal Manor of Portland, Pittaway secured his third podium finish in as many years.

The Southern Men's Track & Field team remain unbeaten at the halfway point in the Division One season. Cambridge were beaten by nine points at the weekend to move BAC top of the table.

Steve Way provided the highlight from the distance runners at Battersea Park with a 15:33 5000m. It was a new PB and first ever race win for the fast improving Way.

The next two fixtures are on Saturday June 28th (Swindon) and on Saturday July 12th (Ashford). As usual, there are 5000m and 3000m steeplechase slots to be filled for anyone wishing to take part.
