Dublin, Snowdonia, Dash Back & Wessex League

*3/11/09 News in brief - Henny Oloffson travelled to Dublin to compete in her first ever marathon and finished the course in less than four hours, winning the club’s marathon trophy in the process. The BAC presentation evening is Saturday 14 November and tickets are available from the club. Still on marathons, Nick Kenchington battled through Snowdonia in atrocious running conditions and completed the undulating course in three hours eighteen minutes.

New signing Simon Munro is already showing signs of improvement with a strong performance at the first Wessex League cross country match held at Kings Park. Simon joined Jon Sharkey in using the race as a tune up for next weekend’s Hampshire League and ensured two BAC finishers in the top ten. There were also plenty of younger athletes in the earlier races and all BAC results can be found on the Wessex League website.

Jon Sharkey, Phil Mosley (pictured), Chris Birch and Joe Price enjoyed an unofficial team victory at the fourth 10k Dashback hosted by the Anglo-European Chiropractic College. Battling gale force winds on a familiar training route for the Bournemouth boys, times were minutes down although Jon and Phil’s one-two at the top of the podium was a good advert for the club in the local area.
