Hammerhead & Great White Give Time Trials Some Bite
*7/12/08 Winter series time trials - Ian White and Mike Hammacott both placed in the top five in the second winter time trial of the 2008/2009 series.

White's 16:04 was three seconds slower than his first outing, but he maintains a strong position to win the series. Hammacott has been seen on the road and cross country more so than in recent years and his effort were rewarded with a superb 16:11 personal best in a race won by Morpeth AC's Nathan Shrubb in 15:41.

Further down the field Rob Standley was first veteran in 16:43 while Matt Kiernan slashed his personal best clocking 19:13.

There was a close battle to become first woman from the club to finish. Improving Michelle Pank (19:42) edged out Chiropractic student Ida Verwijst by just two seconds.
