BAC's women take centre stage on
the trails

Podium finishes in solstice weekend
- Bournemouth's women shone at the
weekend with three podium finishes to report. Janie Chapman was victorious
in the Summer Solstice race at Moors Valley. The trail course is slightly
short of 8km and Janie finished in 33:35 with Michelle Pank in 34:11 making
it a Bournemouth one-two. Improving 17 year old Joe Price was 27th in 34:46
while father Will was 148th in 42:42.In Carentan, Normandy, Cherry Sheffrin was third woman in a trail race that twice circumnavigated a man made lake. Jon Sharkey retained his title as first senior man finishing second overall to VH1 local star Noel Hinet. Despite a couple of twists in the course and trees overhead, both Jon and Cherry's Garmin 405s measured the course at 4.42 miles showing consistency and accuracy in comparison to earlier models.
