March Hare Twenty Stu went with a lead group consisting of four other runners despite pre-race predictions of a 1:58 finish. It proved a worthy tactic as he broke clear on fifteen miles to clock a negative split of 1:53:20 - over two minutes ahead of second placed Andy Clements. Also victorious on the day was Ian Graham. He clocked 2:19:40 to win the M60 category for a third consecutive race; eleven minutes quicker than in 2007. There will be an update later in the week confirming current UK rankings over twenty miles. BAC also won the open race, making it three victories out of four in Dorset this year. Joining Stu and Ian in the scoring trio was Jon Sharkey, whose lonely race earned 1:59:38; a first ever sub two hour time for the distance. It proved a half marathon time trial with the next runner three minutes in front. Further down the field, Paul Consani, Amy Pitch, Cherry Sheffrin and Matt Kiernan all completed the distance for the first time while Mike Jordan made up the final scorer for the Dorset League.
