Steve Leads The Way
*12/10/08 Littledown Five - The amusing headlines are the only reason we signed Steve and Simon!

Steve Way produced a sensational run to finish second in the Littledown Five. Despite New York marathon preparations yielding two twenty milers the week before and the Aldershot relays the day before, Steve moved through the field and stopped the clock on 26:13.

His rivalry with Stu Fox, another headline writers dream especially in the running game, is producing some very close results and Stu was third in 26:18.

Closer still is the current battle between Ian White and Jon Sharkey. Mere seconds have separated them in recent races, but it's Ian with the upper hand at the moment. He was fifth in 26:39 with Jon six seconds and one place in arrears.

John Broom (8th, 27:14) is currently ineligible to score in the Dorset League, but Robin Copestick ensured the win as fifth scorer in 14th place (28:42).

The enjoyable tussle between Bournemouth and Poole Runners for the Dorset League is set to go down to the wire for the third successive year and it's good to see faster runners from all clubs supporting local races.

Further down, Ian Graham's performance was enough to secure a medal in the M60 category of the South West vets championship.
