July Racing Update
*22/7/08 - The last week has been a successful one for three of BAC's heads of state.

Stu Fox went to Winchester for the City Centre 5k; an event won by Bournemouth three years ago. Despite running into a bollard on the first of three laps, Fox managed to complete the technical course in 16:15 with only athletes from host club Winchester in front of him.

The following evening Ian White, fresh from beating one of AFC Bournemouth's relay teams just twenty-four hours previously, took on the fifth summer series time trial. A personal best time of 19:06 was enough to win the race and White took a massive eighteen seconds out of second place Giorgio Nero in the final three quarters of a mile.

On Sunday Mark Hargreaves claimed his second race victory in the week. Hargreaves was triumphant in the Tarrant Valley 10k. No details are currently available from the multi-terrain undulating course.

Meanwhile John Boyes has asked if any runners would like to take part in a relay event in conjunction with the Toulouse Marathon. The event takes place on October 26th and John can be contacted via a web site link on the homepage for more information.
