Romsey, Parliament Hill, 5k time trial

*31/1/10 Yellows take team win at Romsey - Steve Way, Rob Standley and Mark Hargreaves secured Bournemouth AC’s second team victory of the year at the Romsey Five.

Taking in the race as part of a twenty mile training run, Steve’s middle five in 25:53 earned him third overall behind the impressive Toby Lambert and Paddy Hamilton (both under 24 minutes).

Behind Steve a powerful field of veterans was led home by Tad Dicker in 26:28. Rob Standley and Mark Hargreaves were second and third vets clocking 26:52 and 27:00 respectively as 12 vets finished within 29 minutes.

The Bournemouth trio recorded 17 points finishing 13 ahead of nearest challengers Winchester and District AC.

On the same day Andy Jennings finished tenth in the Frimley Canal 8.

Under 20 Ryan Saunders finished an impressive fifth in the South of England cross country championships at Parliament Hill. Also entered into the National at Leeds in February, the ambitious St. Mary's student is eyeing up a strong performance at the inter-counties (he's calling it the World trials!) in Birmingham at the start of March. Rob McTaggart finished 150th in the Senior Men's race.
