Hoburne 5 Mile - Matt Kiernan stole the show at Hoburne by setting an astonishing five minute PB running 36:29. The breakthrough could be a sign of things to come from the teenager as he prepares to take on the London Marathon. Nick Hanlon debuted for the club in 32:29 while BAC took an unofficial team victory with the top three scorers. Great South Run - Rob McTaggart showed his determination and commitment to the sport to pull of a great run despite his personal problems. Not only did he clock 55:52 in testing weather conditions, but he triumphed over International veteran Mark Hargreaves by ten seconds. Weymouth 10 Mile - BAC were delighted to see the debut of senior female Cherry Sheffrin. Cherry finished 7th lady in 78 minutes and women are more than welcome to join the club as we would like to start fielding women's teams in competition as well as men's teams. Wimborne 10 Mile - At the South West Inter-Counties competition Dorset won Gold with BAC's Jon Sharkey counting as third scorer in a PB time of 55:59. Simon Hunt took the V50 title in 62:49 while Ian Graham claimed a V60 prize clocking 67:26. Christmas 10k - Mark Hargreaves won the veteran's prize yet again at the popular Christmas 10k race. Thirty-three minutes and nine seconds work for his family's Christmas Turkey!! Round The Lakes 10k - New recruit Stuart Fox showed what he's all about finishing as first Dorset scorer in the Boxing Day 10k race at Poole Park. His 33:04 run makes you wonder what he could do with some consistent training!! |
