BAC Retain D-Day Team Title
*6/6/08 Three Wins In Eleven Days - BAC made it three road race wins in eleven days on Wednesday night in the D-Day 10k held at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth. On the back of team wins at Ropley and Poole, the squad successfully defended last year's D-Day victory packing three runners into the top seven positions.

James Baker of Chichester was a clear winner, but Mark Hargreaves (33:42) produced a solid run for second. A large group followed in Baker's dust cloud and the relentless Hargreaves dropped runners one by one before beating sub 31 minute runner Tim Watson in a sprint finish.

Jon Sharkey was fourth ten seconds further back while Ian White claimed seventh just ahead of highly rated local favourite Robin Ward.

Simon Hunt was third vet overall outside the prize positions and picked up an award for his sixteenth placed finish eighteen seconds ahead of former D-Day winner Robin Copestick.

From a squad of nine runners who made the trip to Pompey only Matt Kiernan and Cherry Sheffrin managed quicker runs than Sunday's Poole 10k with the former setting a new personal best.
