County XC Championships
Dorset - Tony Chutter took advantage of a date unsuited to senior athletes competing. The veteran tracked Paul Rose from Yeovil RC all the way, but did enough to hold off the chasing runners and pick up a County Silver medal.

Derbyshire - Laurent Kelly put in a fine run in the Derbyshire Under 20 competition and was agonisingly just one place outside the medals. A pleasing run of 36:51 over the 10k cross county course gave him a platform to have a successful 2008 and in contention for a place at the Inter-Counties on March 15th.

Surrey - Running in the Under 20 competition Matt Kiernan emphasised his improvement in the last twelve months. Matt ran three minutes quicker than last year clocking 30:33 on the tricky 6.5km course.
