Bournemouth Fifth In AAA 10K Championships
*14/10/08 Chichester 10k - Bournemouth AC packed well to record a fifth place finish in the 2008 UK 10k championships. Despite a cross country fixture the day before, it was encouraging to see the squad's depth strong enough to also finish as fifth 'B' team.

Although the warm conditions looked favourable at the start, times were slightly down on expectations across the board. Steve Way, Stu Fox and Jon Sharkey came in eleven positions and twenty-seven seconds apart. The close packing of runners has proved a key feature to successes in 2008.

Mark Hargreaves (5th), Ian Graham (7th) and Simon Hunt (8th) all recorded top ten age group placings although none of the eight performances bettered existing club championship times for 2007/2008.
