BOURNEMOUTH AC ROAD AND DISTANCE RUNNING INFORMATION Here is a a report from the Bournemouth Bay Half Marathon. Click here to go back to our main index page.
BAC Maintain Proud Record With the race becoming full on no warning to Dorset League competing clubs, the league contingent was noticeably down on previous races, particularly at the front end. Not even England International and defending Bay Half Vet Champion Mark Hargreaves could get himself a place from the organisers. However a mix of new faces and old guard ensured BAC fielded a full team for the 31st consecutive Dorset League race; a current run exceeding that of any other club. Royal Manor Portland's run is currently thirty which is arguably even more of a remarkable achievement from a devoted small contingent. Dave Parsons and Pete Gaze must have run thousands of races between them in Bournemouth colours and were second and third scorers. Andy Jennings debuted by leading the club home in an impressive time while Matt Soper (also debuting) and Matt Kiernan wrapped up their London Marathon training. The club championship page has now been updated from the day's Half Marathon and 10k action while there are a few new pictures in the club photo album. Bournemouth Bay Half: BAC Results (chip
