Graham Takes M60 Title
*4/2/08 Blackmore Vale Half Marathon - Ian Graham benefited from a well paced race to win the M60 title at the 2008 Blackmore Vale Half Marathon.

Reserving some energy for the way back, Graham remained patient into the headwind over the first part of the course. He overtook rival John Hunt (New Forest Runners) to claim the age group win.

Tony Chutter produced a good display and beat the likes of Dave Caddy and John Towner to finish 15th in 83:15. Four places and a minute further ahead, Mark Pittaway was tantalisingly close to the top ten representing his first claim club Royal Manor of Portland.

A rolling course and high winds kept most times slower than usually expected, but that didn't stop Yeovil Running Club's Adrian Marriott seeing off a challenge from last year's winner Pete Roper. Marriott not only took the race win, but ducked under 70 minutes and set a new course record in 69:11.
