Andy Turner makes all time Pentathlon list for M45

*7/6/09 More records fall - At the British Masters Athletics Federation Pentathlon Championships at Milton Keynes on 21st June, Andy Turner's pentathlon result of 3328 points gave him 1st place in the M45 category and - note this! - second place in the All Time records for V45. He also broke the BAC record for V45 previously held by Simon Armstrong. What can be said? - 'congratulations' hardly seems enough! For the record, Andy's results in each event were SP 12.97, WT 13.03, DT 37.21, HT 44.15 and JT 33.67.

At the World Cup for Schools (see previous item 'Club Records & International Honours') in Tallinn, Estonia, James Lelliott was 4th in the Long Jump with 6.95m, and his sprint of 11.47 in the 100m brought James in in 8th place. Elsewhere on the website there is a picture of James competing in this competition. Readers of 'Athletics Weekly' will no doubt have noticed that James has been selected for the European Youth Olympic Festival U20 team to compete in Serbia (along with Andrew Elkins, as previously noted). Well done, James, we're very proud of you!
