UKA/AAA Marathon Champs
*16/4/08 Capital Gains - Bournemouth Athletic Club are awaiting final confirmation of the team ranking in the 2008 AAA Marathon Championships.

Incorporated into Sunday's London Marathon, the team of Stu Fox, Ian White and Jon Sharkey all progressed through the field during the race to beat a number of well established teams nationwide. The graph on the right shows how the trio all improved their race position as each 5k split past.

A cumulative time of 7:46:31 (which beat 500 individuals) was far beyond the team's expectations and brought to life by three astounding personal bests. Despite leading the way Stu set the biggest leap knocking 12:13 from a best set merely twelve months ago.

Jon Sharkey set a third consecutive 10 minute plus PB in London Marathon's taking 10:04 from his 2006 effort. Ian White took 9:27 from his 2004 time despite spending much of the interim out of action.
