2006 Round Up Unfortunately we didn't have a strong enough five to challenge in the final race to decide the title, but considering Poole Runners fielded three times the number of runners than we did over the course of the season it was an achievement to push them all the way. Final BAC standings (best seven races): 3 Jon Sharkey (28), 5 Robin Copestick (35), 8 Dave Mason (80), 21 Ian Graham (212), 25 Dave Parsons (251), 50 Ian White (79 [6 races]), 64 Rob McTaggart (31 [5]), 65 Mike Hoey (47 [5]), 68 JP (108 [5]), 82 Mark Hargreaves (15 [4]), 87 Mike Farrell (95 [4]), 100 Mike Jordan (231 [4]), 114 Nick Kenchington (34 [3]), 116 Simon Hunt (38 [3]). Thanks also to Liam Hargreaves, Tony Chutter, Will Price, Joe Price, Craig Bravington, Billy Nixon, Chris Birch, Warran Hoy and Matt Kiernan who also ran. *Dorset County Championships - County Medals went Bournemouth AC's way at each of the four County Championship road running events with Mark Hargreaves, Rob McTaggart and Jon Sharkey all represented. Mark picked up the only gold, but Rob won the county track 10k championship with a superbly run PB battling against Mike Grist for overall honours. Dave Mason and Karl Welch also contributed to county championship success on the track for our distance runners while Jon Sharkey picked up a county cross country medal. *Team Race Wins - Team victories occurred in the following events: Lytchett 10, March Hare 20, Puddletown Plod, Portland 10, Sturminster Half, Bournemouth Bay Half, Bournemouth Bay 10k, Littledown 5, Gold Hill 9.5k. *Individual Race Wins - Mark Hargreaves (Two National titles including Masters 10k and Masters Cross Country, Coffin Dodgers Dash, Swanage Half.
